Glen Lake boys bowling has captured its first Great North High School Bowling Conference championship (GNHSBC)since 2010, after the Lakers finished off the regular season Saturday at Incredible Moe’s in Grawn.
“It’s really beautiful and speaks to all the hard work we have put in over the years,” Glen Lake senior Brody Switzer said. “The team is working on bonding and chemistry, and we are trying our hardest to pick up our spares … We’ve picked up each other’s mojo, and the team plays its best when we have a level head.”
The Lakers stormed through the regular season with an 8-0 record and will be heading to regionals at Thunder Bowl Lane in Alpena Friday and Saturday.
“It’s been four years of work for most of us ... It’s good to finally see the hard work pay off or something,” Glen Lake senior Tanner Crick.
