Dino M. Hernandez, a Suttons Bay resident and longtime higher education leader, has been named a 2026 recipient of Georgetown University’s prestigious 1820 Graduate Award, one of the university’s highest honors for alumni service and leadership.
The award was presented Feb. 6 during the Georgetown University Alumni Association’s Service Recognition Awards Banquet in Washington, D.C.
Established to recognize alumni whose lives reflect Georgetown’s Jesuit values of leadership, service, and cura personalis — care for the whole person — the 1820 Graduate Award honors individuals who have made sustained contributions to their profession, community, and alma mater.
