Elmwood Board looks to update sewer ordinance

Elmwood Township board members look to update their sewage ordinance over the next couple of months, as trustees eyed changes to sewer connections at its February meeting.

“Over 15 years of my career here, there have been a number of changes,” Noah Karberg, director of public works at Grand Traverse County said. “Definitions have changed, there are new allowable technologies available for sampling, and some of the administrative programs.”

The last amendment change to Elmwood’s “Uniform Sewer Ordinance” was in 2011.
