Insight into Minneapolis mayhem

Were the shootings of Renée Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis justifiable? Citizen comments on the issue are almost uniformly completely off base.

The use of deadly force is only excusable if the shooter has a reasonable fear for his/her safety. Whether deadly force is justified and excusable will be decided by a jury after they have been properly instructed by the judge on the law of self defense and the use of deadly force.

As a long time violent crime prosecutor (having worked in the Twin Cities for 30+ years) I had cases where I studied the law of self-defense by reading many cases where self-defense was the trial issue.
