What began as a creative way to brighten a quiet winter season has grown into one of Leland’s most popular community competitions.

On Saturday, Feb. 28, the Leland Township Public Library hosted its fourth annual puzzle competition at the Old Art Building (OAB), bringing together 13 teams to race against the clock to complete a 500-piece puzzle in three hours or less.

First place went to Peter Corwin and Julie Netzky, who completed the puzzle in just 47 minutes. Second place was claimed by Caitlin, Shelly and Jen Watkins at 51 minutes, followed closely by a team led by Linda Kalchik in third place with a time of one hour.
