Starting Friday, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will allow restaurants to increase indoor dining capacity to 50%, effectively doubling the number of guests, they can serve in the dining room under the previous order reopened indoor dining on Feb. 1. *** An effort that has been underway for more than two years in Elmwood Township to adopt ordinances to regulate short term rentals appears to be headed for even more controversy. A new proposal introduced this week would allow non-owneroccupied short term rentals to be operated anywhere in the township subject to new licensing provisions.
