Leelanau County is in line to receive more than $4.2 million in federal COVID relief funding under legislation President Joe Biden was expected to sign into law earlier this week. That word came from county administrator Chet Janik during the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners executive meeting Tuesday morning after he received an email from the Michigan Association of Counties (MAC). *** The rezoning battle of historic property in Glen Arbor Township is turning ugly fast. After a group opposing the rezoning successfully had work halted for at least 30 days while they collect signatures to put a referendum on the ballot in November, the property owner distributed an intercepted email in an attempt to discredit the group.
