Leelanau County is in line to receive more than $4.2 million in federal COVID relief funding under legislation President Joe Biden was expected to sign into law earlier this week. After a group opposing the rezoning successfully had work halted for at least 30 days while they collect signatures to put a referendum on the ballot in November, the property owner distributed an intercepted email in an attempt to discredit the group.
