The Cleveland Township board voted this week to place a renewal of the township’s fire and emergency services millage on the Aug. 4 primary ballot during their monthly meeting.
If approved by voters, the proposal would renew the township’s fire millage at 2.5 mills for 2026 through 2028.
Cleveland Township Supervisor Tim Stein explained that the renewal would restore the levy to its full rate after a Headlee rollback reduction and ensure continued funding for fire and emergency services in the township.
