Lakers ice Norse

Glen Lake welcomed Suttons Bay to town on Tuesday in a 69-52 defeat.

Laker sophomore Jacob Plamondon couldn’t be stopped as he had a double-double with 31 points, 10 rebounds. Glen Lake senior Dylan Cundiff added seven points, 10 rebounds, followed by junior guards Benji Allen’s 15 points, six rebounds. Fellow senior Cooper Bufalini managed six points, two rebounds, while Gage Baker had four points, four rebounds, two assists.

Even though outmatched in size and speed, Suttons Bay didn’t stop fighting against their county rival all night long.

Suttons Bay senior Finn Mankowski led the effort with 19 points, five rebounds, four blocks. Grayson Opie added eight points, eight rebounds, along with Urijah TwoCrow’s eight points, three rebounds.

Glen Lake will square off against Benzie in a battle of first place for the Northwest Conference, while the Norsemen travel to Leland on Thursday, both starting at 7 p.m.
