Be civil; our kids are watching

To the editor:

Before the last Presidential Election, I wrote a letter to the Leelanau Enterprise warning that character counts in electing the highest office in our country.

Recently, the Enterprise chose to run a letter that, in my mind, showed very poor judgment in looking for a “Big Beautiful Funeral.” A tasteless hateful letter has no place being printed in the Enterprise. I wonder what kind of behavior prompts this kind of dialog.
