‘‘Yes’ to school lunch law’

To the editor:

I believe every child should have the right to access the healthy food they need to grow, learn, and play. This year, Michiganders have an opportunity to turn that basic principle into lasting policy by codifying universal school meals into law. In doing so, we can build a state in which no child is hungry or stigmatized by the injustice of poverty, and where all children flourish. For the past three years, we have chosen to care for children and collectively invest in our shared future. If you want this to continue here in Leelanau, please contact your state representatives.
