The Leland Township board held its annual meeting Saturday at the Old Art Building, approving multiple township salary resolutions and its 2026-27 fiscal year budget after receiving reports from various township boards, commissions, and departments.
With a 2.7% cost of living (COLA) increase in place, the first salary resolution approved was for the supervisor at $35,020; the treasurer at $46,695; the clerk at $60,138; and trustees at $8,011.
Leland’s proposed 2026-27 general fund budget revenues total $853,896, with major line items including $267,170 in property taxes and $225,402 in state revenue sharing. Total general fund budget expenditures are anticipated to total the same as revenues at $853,896, while the projected fund balance is $450,000.
