Tonight Leelanau Township will have its regular public Planning Commission meeting via Zoom at 7 p.m. and its sure to draw a lot of attention. The township board unanimously voted to adopt a temporary moratorium of 180 days on applications for RV parks and campgrounds during a special meeting also held via Zoom March 17. The Planning Commission is expected to consider making an ordinance amendment related to the moratorium as well as give the public an opportunity to opine. *** Leelanau County schools are staying the course amid an apparent surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. Traverse City Public Schools, in response to a recommendation from the Grand Traverse County Health Department, paused in-person instruction this week and shifted to remote learning. The move was recommended as the number of positive COVID-19 cases

in the region are on the rise. In addition, students are just returning from spring break.
