Leelanau Twp. approves 2026-27 budget, salary resolutions

Board talks budget cuts

The Leelanau Township board unanimously approved its 2026-27 fiscal year budget as well as salary resolutions at a special meeting on March 26.

The township treasurer’s salary was the first to be approved at $60,000, followed by the supervisor’s salary at $38,162; the clerk at $62,000; and trustees at $5,150. In addition, a resolution for various Leelanau Township 2026-27 hourly, salary, and per meeting rates were also approved and will take effect beginning April 1, the start of the new fiscal year.
