Boater safety classes set

The Traverse City Coast Guard Auxiliary will host two classes for boaters next month.

The first, scheduled from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, May 7, will focus on mariner knots, boat radios and weather.

This boater safety class is offered to those interested in learning more about tying knots, working marine radios and watching and understanding the weather the affects boaters.
