All generations needed

To the editor:

April is the Month of the Young Child, and here at the Leelanau Children’s Center, we believe it’s worth taking a moment to celebrate and reflect.

Imagine Leelanau County without young children. No laughter on school playgrounds. No families cheering at sporting events. No young parents shopping at local businesses, volunteering in our neighborhoods, or filling the seats of our workforce. The scene feels quieter and smaller.
