‘Mess to clean up’

To the editor:

The Enterprise recently wrote that Jim Dyer was hired “assuming a mess to clean up.” Just months earlier the public record said something very different.

In October 2024, Board Chair Ty Wessell called the county finance department “fully staffed” and called it “a day to celebrate.” The Ticker reported a “stable finance department finally in place.”
