Contracts for repair and maintenance of two local township facilities were approved at Leland Township’s regular board meeting on Monday evening.
Trustees first reviewed request for proposals (RFPs), one for necessary plumbing repairs in the Leland harbor public restrooms and another for the township office building exterior painting, before choosing who to award contracts to.
Two estimates were provided to the board from trustee Greg Kuntz, who also serves as the board representative for the parks and recreation committee, regarding the repair of the plumbing in the harbor’s public bathroom. Kuntz explained how the estimates cover repairs needed to the plumbing system servicing the public restroom as well as replacing the water heater which has been out of service for some time.
