April, the ‘Month of the Young Child’

Children are our future.

From birth to age 5, children undergo rapid brain, physical, and social-emotional development, with 90% of brain growth occurring by age 5, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

April is the Month of the Young Child, a time dedicated to celebrating early learning, young children, their families, and communities. Organized by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the month highlights the importance of quality early childhood education.
