A 31-year-old Suttons Bay man has been charged with operating while intoxicated after a motor vehicle accident last week.
Shortly before 3 p.m. Friday, deputies were dispatched to an accident on M-22 near Lakeview Road.
According to the county Sheriff’s Office, the Suttons Bay man was northbound on M-22 when he crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by a 73-year-old female from Traverse City.
The female was transported to Munson Medical Center for treatment and was later released.
Alcohol and using a cell phone while driving are believed to have been involved.
A report has been forwarded to the county Prosecutor’s office for consideration.
