An open house celebration will be held next week in honor of county Clerk Michelle Crocker presently the longestserving employee in county government with 45 years of service.
The event, scheduled for 5 p.m., Thursday, April 30 in the lower level community room at the county government center, will mark the 30th year of her being sworn in as clerk.
Crocker was hired by Clerk Dorothy Wunderlich in 1981 at the age of 20. Upon Wunderlich’s retirement, Crocker was appointed clerk and assumed office on May 1, 1996. She has been reelected every four years since.
