The Leelanau Township Community Foundation (LTCF) board of trustees approved grants to five organizations in Leelanau County in March.
• Northport Public School (NPS), recipient of a $1,000 grant from the Youth Endowment Fund to purchase trees, shrubs and flowers to plant around town to nurture and support the environment.
• Leelanau Township was awarded a $6,000 grant from the Pearl Kellogg Memorial Fund to help purchase a bronze plaque to honor the Veterans of Leelanau Township from Civil War to present, a special Memorial Day service and dedication, and a brochure honoring Veterans buried in the Township cemeteries.
