LCC endowment hits $1 million-mark

The Leelanau Children’s Center (LCC) has reached $1 million in its organizational endowment, a landmark achievement made possible by years of sustained generosity from donors and volunteers throughout the Leelanau County community.

That achievement prompted the Board of Directors to transition Executive Director Heidi Kruse to a dedicated endowment growth role as it sets its sights on an initial $3 million first-phase initiative.

“This achievement is a testament to years of strong leadership that has secured LCC’s financial future and set the stage for continued growth. This milestone isn’t just a number; it reflects the community’s commitment. It reflects strength and unlocks the next exciting chapter, the best chapter in LCC’s story,” Barbara Duvall, board president said.
