Empire United Methodist Church will host the third annual First Responders Appreciation event on Saturday, June 20 at Johnson Park in Empire.
The event, scheduled for noon to 2 p.m., includes a complimentary pig roast to recognize and honor local first responders and their families for their dedicated service to Leelanau County.
Members of the Empire community are invited to attend, enjoy a meal and take the opportunity to meet and express gratitude to those who serve the community year-round.
