Lakers fall to Huskies; rebound against Buckley

Benzie Central defeated Glen Lake 60-51 in a first-place Northwest Conference boys basketball game Thursday night. Jacob Plamondon led with 11 points, followed by Dylan Cundiff with 10 points; Benji Allen, 14; Michael Houtteman, 6 ; Gage Baker, 6; and Cooper Bufalini, 4 points.

Jacob Plamondon led with 11 points, followed by Dylan Cundiff with 10 points; Benji Allen, 14; Michael Houtteman, 6 ; Gage Baker, 6; and Cooper Bufalini, 4 points.

Benzie’s Jaxson Childers led the Huskies with 18 points, while Andrew Gray had 13 points, and Miles Pritchert 10 points.

The Lakers turned around and defeated Buckley 68-48 Tuesday night.

Plamondon had 22 points, 10 rebounds; Cundiff 15 points, 6 rebounds; Houtteman, 12 points; Allen 8 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists.

Buckley’s Landon Kulawiak led with 24 points, 5 rebounds.

Glen Lake travels to Frankfort tonight at 7.

Frankfort 66 Suttons Bay 51

The Panthers defeated the Norsemen on Tuesday night 66-51.

Grayson Opie led Bay with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks; Urijah TwoCrow and 9 points; Tyler Porter, 8 points; and Finn Mankowski 8 points.

Suttons Bay (5-8) travels to Kingsley today.

Onekama 51 Leland 36

Onekama stifled Leland 51-36 Tuesday night. James Alpi led the Comets with nine points, seven rebounds, followed by Sawyer Couturier with 11 points, four assists.
