LIFT (Leelanau Investing for Teens) is a free out-of-schooltime program for 6th through 12th graders in Leelanau County, MI. Beginning in 2017 as a small youth program, LIFT has grown to provide daily activities for students at Suttons Bay, Glen Lake, Leland, and Northport Schools including daily mentoring, homework help, weekend activities, and co-hosting school events such as homecoming and prom. Activities can include rock climbing, going to a concert, working at a farm, going to the beach or sitting down to do a puzzle. LIFT strives to see all of Leelanau’s youth experiencing community connections and support. EACC (Empire Area Emergency Fund) has been assisting neighbors with critical needs since the late 90’s. As a charitable organization, EACC is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals by fostering community engagement and activities. A flagship fund of EACC is the Community Emergency Fund, providing financial assistance for families experiencing financial hardships. Funds from NeighborFest will be used to support the EACC general fund, which is available to support other community needs and organizations.
