The following list of Leelanau Township men who served as members of the Co. K Sharpshooters as included in “A History of Leelanau Township” by the Leelanau Township Historical Writers Group.
• Charles Allen — Enlisted in Co. K, 1st Sharpshooters as Sergeant, June 12, 1863 at Northport for three years, age 19. Mustered June 22, 1863. 1st Sergeant. Died of wounds received in action at the Wilderness, Va., June 6, 1864. (12 months service).
• George Ashe-Ke- Bugaskberg — Enlisted in Co. K., Sharpshooters, July 9, 1863, at Northport for three years, age 28. Mustered out at Delaney House, D.C., July 28, 1865 (24 months service).
