Suttons Bay senior Megan U’Ren stamped her name in the Norsemen record book as she broke the previous school career record for goals held by Sydney Deadman during an 8-0 win over Kalkaska under the cherry blossoms Saturday.
“It’s a severe surreal feeling. All these years of hard work is paying off and I’m so proud of what my team and I have achieved because you really can’t do it without your teammates,” U’Ren said. “Every game, we’ve been trying our best. Obviously, not being too selfish about the goals, but also scoring when my team needs it.”
U’Ren also tied Lauren Lint for the career assist record with two during the win over Kalkaska.
