On Sunday June, 7 , the congregation of the Leland Community United Methodist Church will say goodbye to Pastor Tim Woycik.
Pastor Tim has led the congregation since the summer of 2021. The five years he served have been a time of many adjustments for the church and Pastor Tim has embraced the challenges with the congregation.
He and his wife Chris arrived in Leland just as the world was recovering from COVID and he was instrumental in helping the church return to normalcy. Simultaneously, the United Methodist church worldwide was in the midst of the disaffiliation window when the church finally confronted disagreements associated with LGBTQ inclusion which ultimately resulted in a split of the United Methodist Church. Pastor Tim graciously led the Leland Community United Methodist Church through that difficult transition.
