Dennis and Sylvia Gerathy of Cedar celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on June 3.
The Gerathys met in church in Detroit in August of 1961. They dated five years before being married on June 3, 1966.
They have two children, son Dennis resides in Livonia with his wife Stacie and daughter, Teresa resides in Clarkston with her husband, Ted.
Their grandchildren are Anna, with husband Zack; Bryan, Kaitlyn with husband, Luke; and Brandon.
They also have three greatgrandchildren: Elijah, Payton and Adelyn.
The Gerathys have been Leelanau County residents since 2001.
