The Glen Lake Association (GLA) is continuing its commitment to protecting water quality through the early detection and removal of invasive species.
This includes removing nonnative koi fish observed in the Glen Lake/Crystal River Watershed.
Koi, a form of carp commonly associated with ornamental ponds, are not native to Michigan. Resembling oversized goldfish, they can be distinct color combinations of red, orange, white, black, and yellow.
