Leelanau Township may be headed to court after passing a controversial ordinance in March. Attorneys for Timber Shores RV Park are asking the Leelanau County 13th Circuit Court to end the current 180-day moratorium on applications for RV parks and campgrounds. On June 17, two months to the day after the township board passed the moratorium, Timber Shores attorneys filed the suit. *** Visitors and residents have a new opportunity to soak in Leelanau County from a new vantage point — the water. Discovery Cruises will begin offering two-hour scenic cruises departing from Discovery Pier in Greilickville aboard its boat called, Discovery, tentatively set for July 1 following final inspections that could be pushed back a few days.
