Blotter: Caller and friend are trying to make it up Overlook 9 and just wanted to know “how much it would cost for someone to come get them.”

Thursday, June 18

11:43 a.m. — Bingham Township— Red Ram truck with junk in the back reportedly all over the road. Crossing both center and fog lines.

4:30 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Elderly driver swerving and speeding. Caller lost sight. Northbound. GMC older truck.

5:10 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller’s friend got money out of the bank and is now 90 miles south. She’s not answering her phone, so caller thinks she has been kidnapped. Did not tell the caller what she needed the money for. She said she was fine and everything was fine. Left in a white Ford Edge by herself. Second caller also stated that mom had been kidnapped. She is not picking up her phone but is responding to texts. Deputy gave them call to Big Rapids where she is being tracked now. Caller called back, they believe she is at Walmart in Grand Traverse County.

6:34 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White Chevy Colorado pulled out of Grove Street into oncoming traffic through the village. Almost hit truck/trailer. Passed in no passing zone. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.

8:05 p.m. — Leland Township — Transfer from Grand Traverse County. White Ford Edge heading into Suttons Bay. Her family is tracking her through an app and she is traveling faster than she usually would.

Friend called and relayed that she withdrew money from Walmart. Referenced suspicious fraudulent activity. (Female was scammed. Said she didn’t show up for court so she was trying to pay by borrowing money.

11:44 p.m.— Glen Arbor Township — Caller thinks there’s a bear outside because they hear grunting and they have food outside in some kind of container close to the tent.

Friday, June 19

8 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Red Chrysler minivan swerving. Hovering white /yellow lines.

9:17 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Suspicious incident. Man in yellow vest said he was checking gas meter. DTE said they are closed for the holiday. They usually drive by — not walk by. He is now walking north on M-22.

3:41 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller advised her fianance’s vehicle had its windows broken out and possibly broken into. Light blue Dodge Caravan.

7:40 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Silver Ford SUV parked in the middle of the road, about 15 to 20 minutes. This vehicle is parked in a manner that it doesn’t violate anything.

8:37 p.m. — Bingham Township— Dog barking complaint.

9:16 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller and friend are trying to make it up Overlook 9 and just wanted to know “how much it would cost for someone to come get them.”

9:44 p.m. — Leland Township— Caller believes someone is camping at Hancock Field.

11:32 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White Honda CRV stopped. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.

Saturday, June 20

1:30 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Silver Subaru pulled over. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.

2:47 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Gray Subaru pulled over. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.

9:50 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Truck cut caller off and then was observed throwing a cup out their window.

10:30 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller reports cars are increasingly going too fast near her house, especially now that summer has arrived. Requests additional patrols and radar trailer.

4:14 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller says “a man” follows her up from Ann Arbor when they are on vacation her.

4:46 p.m. — Cleveland Township — People camping illegally along the road near Shalda Creek.

5:07 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Two houses on Scenic View Dr., have dog tied up in the trees. Barking all day.

7:51 p.m. — Empire Township — Silver Chevy Silverado. Caller reports that they were filling up their truck with gas. Walked around to the other side and when they cam back they saw and individual moving quickly with a gas can and he had stolen gas that the callers were paying for.

10:57 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller is hearing screaming at a residence nearby. (Per law enforcement, it was a verbal argument between and mother and daughter.)

Sunday, June 21

2:40 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Black Lincoln stopped. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.

2:54 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Mini Coopers are going too fast, per the caller.

4:43 p.m. — Bingham Township — Blue Mini Cooper convertible almost hit caller head-on passing cars on a double-yellow. Heading southbound.

5:14 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White pit bull came off its property and was snapping at caller’s dog and her neighbors’ dog. The neighbor as able to scare the dog off and the owner o f the pit bull put the dog on a leash outside her home.

6:23 p.m. — Leland Township — Dog left in a vehicle. Windows are cracked and the vehicle is in the shade. However, caller is still concerned because the dog was barking. Unknown how long it’s been there.

11:59 p.m. — Elmwood Township— — Caller sees three people in his boatyard walking around with flashlights.

Monday, June 22

11:41 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Found cash box with change and credit cards in the woods.

11:55 a.m. —Leelanau Township — Caller lost wallet at marina last night.

11:57 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Neighbor is burning trash. (Not illegal, per law enforcement. They are burning natural materials in a pit.)

4:08 p.m. — Bingham Township — Ford Transit making a left turn and a large dump truck vehicle hit him from behind.

4:47 p.m. — Empire Township — Online dating scam reported.

5:04 p.m. — Centerville Township — Subject started harassing caller over an ongoing estate issue. He was becoming unruly. The store owner had to escort subject out to her vehicle. Would like to speak with law enforcement about pursuing a personal protection order.

9:51 p.m. — Bingham Township — Black Toyota SUV. Driver possibly drunk.
