The Northport Arts Association (NAA) is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 Clay Studio Artist in Residence Program and the selection of Chicago-based artist Honey Nilson as its first resident artist.
The three-week residency, taking place August 9 to 29, provides an experienced ceramic artist the opportunity to live and work in Northport while developing a personal body of work in the Northport Clay Studio. The program is designed to encourage artistic growth, community engagement, and creative exchange between the resident artist and the local arts community.
Nilson is an interdisciplinary artist with a ceramic and fiber emphasis. A 2024 graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Nilson combines traditional craft techniques with contemporary approaches to material exploration.
