Church should not be sold

The Maple City Community Church has been put up for sale. This is a historical building in Maple City that has historical and sentimental value to many residents in our community and surrounding area.

The Maple City Community Church was built in 1890. Mrs. Honora Roe ran this church from 1934 until her death in 1983. After Mrs. Roe’s passing, Carrol Sattler was one of the preachers that ministered at the church until he became too ill to carry on. During his tenure, he stated to many people that if the church was to become defunct, it was to be turned over to the township.
