To the editor:
On August 4th, Leelanau County voters will have the opportunity to renew the Senior Millage. I’m writing on behalf of ShareCare of Leelanau to urge a YES vote.
This vote is a renewal. This is not a new tax. The proposal asks for a continuation of the existing 0.320 mills, approximately $0.32 per $1,000 of taxable value per year. Your tax bill will not go up, and the services that thousands of seniors across Leelanau County depend on will continue.
