Empire closes wastewater debate

Debate over the needand cost of a municipal wastewater system in Empire appears to have concluded.

The Empire Village Council at a recent meeting continued its discussion of whether a municipal wastewater system could support future commercial development, with multiple engineering studies concluding that such a project is currently unaffordable for the village.

Village trustee and retired health department inspector Tom Rademacher kicked off discussion.
