Commissioners are being urged to authorize plans to form a Lake Leelanau Preservation Board to pay for eradication of invasive Eurasian Watermilfoil (EWM). The Lake Leelanau Lake Association (LLLA) took out a full page ad in this week’s paper to counter arguments included in another advertisement by those opposed to creation of the board that would be empowered to raise funds from waterfront property owners. *** A lawsuit filed by two Leland Township property owners against the Leelanau County Road Commission and Leland Township over the status of the Reynolds Street road end on the Lake Michigan waterfront did not appear any closer to being settled following this week’s Road Commission meeting.
