To the editor:
I’m writing in regard to my overall concerns of the lack of continuity and workflow at the county. At present the county government is embroiled in another inquiry into yet another administrator problem. The Board and employees are there to process services for the tax payers of Leelanau county, not to fulfill their own agenda. We are taxed with some of the highest property tax in the state, let alone the country.
The workflow and responsibilities of departments were redesigned for better servicing, not blocking or delaying implementation. Frankly, we all deserve better, and should not be subjected to embarrassment by our county government’s lackofperformance. This means accepting the “changes” and working together, not fighting and sabotaging one another. This will require a new attitude and new leadership. To be frank, we are all fed up with the poor performance and the ongoing nonsense!
