Engineering work on Cleveland Township’s West Little Traverse Lake Road culvert project continues to move forward, with models expected to be completed this week as they work toward final construction plans and cost estimates.
“The topographic survey is done, they’re doing a hydraulic analysis of Shalda Creek now, and they’re doing modeling,” Supervisor Tim Stein said at the township board’s July meeting.
Once the modeling is complete, engineers will finalize construction plans and submit them to the Leelanau County Road Commission. Stein said the township will then have a better understanding of the overall project cost beyond the $25,000 engineering study already approved.
