To the editor:
The Glen Lake Community Library is seeking a millage RENEWAL on August 4th. The current operating millage of 0.28 mills is one of the lowest in Michigan and provides services of all Glen Lake area residents including Glen Arbor, Empire and Kasson townships. The millage is proposed for six years and would cost $57 per year for a home with a taxable value of $200,000.
Our gem of a library provides many services to all Glen Lake area residents and visitors including a wide array of books, videos, music and online resource material. In addition, there are many classes and space for community meetings. We are so fortunate to have this library and its supportive staff available to us.
Please vote YES for the Glen Lake Community Library millage. Mary Peterson Glen Arbor
