8:33 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Vehicle parked near the Leelanau Trail crossing that’s been covered up. Caller says it’s parked in the right-ofway. (Law enforcement checked on the vehicle that was likely trail user.)
8:45 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Family trouble.
8:57 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Jet ski has lodged itself under the neighbor’s dock at this address.
9:43 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Missing person. Female missing from cross country running practice. Thinks she may be on Little Traverse Lake Road or in that vicinity.
12:21 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Call requesting assistance to help contact owner of a boat on a trailer left in the North Marina Parking lot for three or more days.
2:45 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township —Caller in slip says youths are in the bay on paddleboards and keep falling off. Caller thinks they might be having trouble getting back on shore.
8:41 p.m. — Empire Township — Subject driving around and around and making a lot of noise.
10:42 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township— Family trouble.
Tuesday, July 21
1:49 a.m. — Solon Township — Family trouble.
3:46 a.m. — Bingham Township — Short mini-cab truck with brights on pulled into caller’s driveway. Had deer shining lights on passenger side. They then backed out and went southbound on M-22. Looked suspicious. Had hazards on and window down.
8:07 a.m. — Solon Township — Scam involving products.
12:42 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Harassment from individual.
2:37 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Woman approached caller, got close and started asking a bunch of questions. Woman asked her if she wanted to come and see some kittens.
4:24 p.m. — Leelanau Township— Suspicious person with two dogs camping in the pavilion in the back of Peterson Park. When his dogs started barking the man started waving his hands and yelling, seemingly agitated. (No signs of camping, per law enforcement. Appears to have moved along.)
7:38 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Homeless person in the front yard of caller’s mom. Has dog chained up to her trees.
10:08 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller’s property backs up to the Empire Bluff. Sounds like someone is in trouble. Heard funny noise and then human grunting. Possibly some kind of fight.
10:43 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Problems with older neighbor.
Wednesday, July 22
8:15 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Someone took caller’s kayak from the rack between now and May.
12:30 p.m. — Leland Township — Caller thinks a deceased dog has washed up on shore. (The deceased animal is wildlife.)
1:03 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller noticed a white cat that was very emaciated with matted fur sitting on the porch. He also notices it had cuts all over its body and was having a hard time walking. Caller said the cat was friendly, but thought an animal control officer should check on him.
2:43 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller wanted a new roof. They went through company and contracted with them. Contractors came out and they keep calling him.
3:10 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Sunroof was smashed out of her vehicle between 9 a.m. and noon.
4:20 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Someone in the water isn’t signaling for help. Can see a head and a board a half-mile out. (Good Samaritans boat headed out to paddle boarder. Retrieved subject. Taken to shore.)
8:40 p.m. — Solon Township — Miscellaneous juvenile activity.
9:58 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Goats in the road.
Thursday, July 23
12:31 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Silver Kia stopped. Sobriety tests administered. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.
8:22 a.m. — Bingham Township — Southbound white Jeep with a Yeti wheel cover swerving over center and fog line.
11:25 a.m. — Solon Township — Caller was defrauded by a builder of a pole barn.
11:58 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Brown tabby cat named ”River” is missing. He has white paws and his left paw is missing a toe.
1:01 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Someone at the gun range is shooting off a highly automatic and illegal weapon.
4:28 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Female has been gone for an hour. Caller is at the top of the Dune Climb. (Parties have been reunited.)
7:35 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller came across a 6 to 8-year-old male who seems to have been separated from his parents. Child doesn’t speak much English. (Parents were reunited with their child.)
Friday, July 24
12:01 a.m. — Elmwood Township— Gray, newer truck all over the road driving on the wrong side of the road. (Got vehicle on a stop. Sobriety tests given. One in custody for operating while intoxicated.)
3:18 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Someone outside is using caller’s hose. The well pump keeps going on. Motion light is going off on the west side of the house. Believes it’s an animal setting of motion lights.
7:53 a.m. — Solon Township — Older woman laying in caller’s garden. Telling her dog to be quiet. (Person left before law enforcement arrived.)
11:57 a.m. — Kasson Township — Caller’s ex-boyfriend has been harassing her.
1:50 p.m. — Elmwood Township — People are parking boats in the middle of the cul-de-sac.
3:13 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Golf cart in front of a stop sign. Not in parking lot. (Per law enforcement it is a public parking spot. Not impeding traffic.
3:49 p.m. — Kasson Township — Racing. Small yellow sports car and white SUV. (Crew was filming the vehicle. They are done for the day, moving on, per law enforcement).
8:29 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Two pit bulls. Juvenile male bit. Headed north along the marina. Rolled backpack. May be homeless. Mother is driving the child to Munson on her own. Subject walking along Mill Street at Fourth Street.
Subject says he has paperwork for the dogs there. Dog is in the outside kennel.
Saturday, July 25
6:47 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller is reporting a truck parked across from him for hours. Someone is inside and believes he should be checked on.
11:39 a.m. — Leland Township — Real estate fraud.
2:12 p.m. — Bingham Township — Neighborhood man received a letter from their homeowners association and thought the caller wrote it. He confronted her. Caller would like to discuss her options.
2:12 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Operating while intoxicated.
3:51 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Someone is yelling at caller on the beach.
5:02 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller doesn’t know where she is and subjects won’t let her out of the car. Caller is scared. Wants someone to take her home. Black Bronco. (Vehicle had departed before any contact could be made. Park Service will continue to patrol.)
6:03 p.m. — Leelanau Township — There is a man hanging out in the gazebo and he has two dogs nearby that are really aggressive.
6:28 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Man in a black Volkswagen parked in handicapped parking and is “clearly not handicapped.” Car has no plate or placard. (No one in the handicapped parking slot now.)
10:07 p.m. — Empire Township— Caller’s friend witnessed a couple engaging in sexual act on the Empire Bluff Trail. (Information passed along to a ranger.)
10:50 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Loud party going on with lots of people and very loud music.
Sunday, July 26
2:30 a.m. — Kasson Township — Silver sedan in the parking lot with someone sleeping inside. Subject is working there in the morning and the employees on shift were OK with him sleeping there.
10:29 a.m. — Leelanau Township —Caller is going to have church in the marina park. States that the “transient” is loitering
in the marina.
10:32 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — There are loose dogs near a piping plover cage.
12:41 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Receiving harassing messages.
1:17 p.m. — Cleveland Township— Caller is receiving harassing texts.
5:37 p.m. — Bingham Township — Young female driving Toyota Highlander. Yelling at people.
6:22 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Homeless male with unsupervised dog on long lead. He is yelling
at himself and not paying
attention to the dog.
6:25 p.m. — Solon Township — Deputy flagged down by a passerby. Reporting a rolling domestic dispute in a vehicle. Black car.
9:40 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township— Someone is using offensive language. Caller confirmed that it seems to be coming from someone’s private property. No one threatening. Just using offensive words loudly that he can hear. Thinking someone should check it out.
10:38 p.m. —Suttons Bay Township — Domestic violence. One in custody.
Monday, July 27
4:55 a.m. — Centerville Township — Caller’s neighbor is screaming in the backyard and has woken up most of the neighborhood. Unsure of what’s going on.
2:47 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller reports subject put sugar in a boat gas tank causing significant damage.
7:02 p.m. — Empire Township — 4-wheeler going around and around the neighborhood 20 feet from houses.
11:17 p.m. — Kasson Township — Dog outside barking all night. On-going issue.
Tuesday, July 28
2:51 a.m. — Empire Township — Caller is reporting that her son won’t answer her. He lives upstairs and she wants someone to check on him.
