Paradox wins again as local sailing series moves on
Madison Memering, a naturalist illustrator & painter, draws a piece on the spot at the Suttons Bay Art Fair. @madisonmemeringart. The Suttons Bay Art Fair was packed Saturday and Sunday and had exceptionally weather throughout.

Paradox topped a sevenboat fleet Saturday to win the sixth sailing race of the season in both the Applebee and Collins series, extending its lead atop both season standings.

“It was a beautiful day on the water, once again!” fleet organizer Glenn VanOtteren wrote in an email. “We had to wait an additional 15 minutes to start, but it was well worth it!”

Conditions were mostly cloudy with a temperature of 71 degrees and a north wind of 4 to 9 knots. All seven boats that started the pursuit-style race, ran over a nautical mile.
