Speaking up matters

To the editor:

Commissioner Gwenne Allgaier often tells people to come to Board meetings and speak during public comment. I’ve always respected that. Citizens ought to be heard.

That’s why I was surprised to read her saying the “red shirts” spent the last year and a half directing unfounded criticism at Jim Dyer and may have scared away future county administrators.
