Recycling rules reminder

To the editor:

The Leelanau County Solid Waste Council encourages households to use one of the nine recycling sites throughout the county to dispose of their recycling.

Examples of acceptable items include: cereal box liners, cereal boxes, yogurt or butter tubs, empty laundry soap jugs, empty shampoo/conditioner bottles, pizza boxes, glass bottles, empty aerosol cans, bubble wrap not attached to anything, plastic buckets, toys, and furniture that fit into the bins, plastic grocery bags combined into one bag and loosely tied.
