Voters approve Senior Services, Road millages

Primary results:

The county proposal for the senior citizens services millage renewal and restoration was approved by voters in the primary election held Tuesday, with approximately 77.42%, or 4,693 votes, voting in favor of the millage. About 22.58%, or 1,369 votes, opposed the proposal. Election results are unofficial until the Board of Canvassers reviews and certifies the records.

The senior citizens services millage proposal was renewed at 0.3145 of one mill, with the previously authorized reduced millage of 0.0055 of one mill restored, for a return to the previously voted total limitation increase of up to 0.3200 mill ($0.32 per $1,000 of taxable value) for a period of four years, 2026 through 2029, inclusive.
