A settlement that preserves public access to Lake Michigan at the end of Reynolds Street has been reached. The Leland Township Board voted 4-1 during a special meeting Aug. 6 to approve a settlement agreement that ends the long standing lawsuit filed by adjacent property owners challenging the ownership of the public road end. *** Construction site trailers are now in place on the Sugar Loaf Resort property in Cleveland Township and demolition of the derelict ski resort is expected to get underway soon, according to township Supervisor Tim Stein.
