Who is Mr. White?

To the editor:

Here’s a question from someone who doesn’t have the time (or stomach) for County Commission meetings: who the heck is Jim White and why is he constantly quoted as an expert on county government?

Now, I understand that Mr. White did make a run for County Commission a couple of years ago, but lost to Ty Wessel. So, why now, does he seem to have such an outsized influence on happenings in our county government? ‘Elections have consequences’ as the saying goes; but that usually means the WINNER prevails. Mr. White seems to be some sort of GOP ‘influencer’ who manages to hire and fire those he disagrees with.
