‘Polluting the pond’

To the editor:

I am the ‘lingering” past Trustee Mr. and Mrs. Schlueter refer to whom they say made a veiled threat, etc. This is a response to their letter.

What I said was the current situation had “devolved to a level that is unimaginable and that, sadly, there will be negative consequences for Leland.” That is stating the obvious. It’s not a threat; it’s the truth. I can recall the famous quote from ‘A Few Good Men”; “You can’t handle the truth.”
