To the editor:
The August 6 column by editor Hubbell got my attention. The turbulence in the County building surrounding Jim Dyer seems to be largely manufactured and unnecessary. The “red-vest-wearing brood” is an apt description of the provocateurs and disruptors. Having been to a few County commission meetings I have seen firsthand the carping and sniping aimed at Jim Dyer. What I also have seen is that he was only interested in being a nonpartisan effective administrator.
Editor Hubbell should be applauded and commended for her factual and accurate column. The last line of her column pretty much sums it up. “Let’s hope there is no déjà vu all over again.”
